Who We Are
Char Vandermeer
Char Vandermeer, an alumna of The Philadelphia Center and a graduate of Alma College, is our Placement and Communications Director. Char joined TPC’s staff in 2001. She is responsible for coordinating the Placement Process and working to cultivate and maintain our impressive collection of internships. She also processes our applications, addresses all placement-related questions, communicates with our hundreds of placements, and acts as our Registrar. Previously, Char served as The Wilma Theater’s Education Director where she instituted several outreach programs, founded Camp Wilma, and implemented a formalized internship program. She is also a contributing writer for the Philadelphia City Paper and a columnist for GRID magazine. She holds an M.S. in communication from Drexel University.
